A Peaceful Paced Life
Spring is a time for renewal, planting, growing, change, and cleaning up the debris from the winter. Spring brings forth an opportunity to opening the windows letting out the stale air and allowing fresh air to circulate in. A time of allowing new ideas and optimism in. Winter being that time of reflection and hibernation. Every year when we are coming out of winter into the time of renewal I take out my notes from winter reflection.
If you have never implemented a practice of winter reflection please consider it! It has become a part of my Winter Season routine. It takes a spotlight before my garden planning! Easy enough to take time when you are sitting in the house during what is considered the dark season. I make myself a relaxing mixture of herbal tea. Sitting with my favorite notebook in hand, I simply reflect on my personal inner goals. What potential possibilities for change I would like to make moving forward into Spring.
This is not a resolution process, it is reflection. Looking in a mirror and seeing what is within. A daydream. What new experiences you would like to engage in. A new hobby, a new painting technique. Maybe taking that yoga class that is always in the back of your mind. Introducing yourself to a new guided meditation. Learning a foreign language? Letting go of fear to explore options? What is calling to you? What seeds of change are you waiting to sow? The process can take the time you want to devote to it. I usually linger with my tea for about an hour. Consider it your personal shopping wish list! I keep the list simple. Sometimes it ends up being a list of words. I look at the list and pick one word or goal to work on. Before I break ground and begin sowing the seeds in my garden, I cultivate within myself the personal growth I want to achieve. I look at it as a new adventure without any pressure or expectation of the outcome.
We sometimes stand in our own way in accomplishing personal change, because of the fear we create in our mind in just sometimes making time for something new! Just have fun with it! We are constantly evolving and changing. We are traversing through cycles of life and seasons on a continual basis. The list will be different in the next winters turn, or maybe it will be exactly the same list. It is all good! It is exciting to create and manifest dream seeds you are ready to sow and cultivate. Start your Spring cleaning, open those windows, sow those seeds, enrich yourself with what calls to you!
I can see your personal garden growing and it is full of amazing beauty.
