A teaspoon of honey and a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon will usually knock out a cold within two days. Take twice a day for three days for best results. Honey and cinnamon are antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. Also knocks out bladder and kidney infections, reduces blood pressure, reduces sugar levels, and acts as a pain reliever for arthritis! So much can be done with these two simple ingredients. Local raw honey is best and fresh cinnamon is preferred but use what you have in a pinch!

Combine 1 cup tomato juice, 1 teaspoon chopped fresh garlic, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Warm the mixture and drink slowly.
To relieve gas, try chewing 1/2 teaspoon of fennel, caraway or dill seeds, or drinking a post-meal cup of tea made from their seeds. For general indigestion or upset stomach, try a cup or two of peppermint tea.
