There are a number of ways to advertise your business at no cost. Ideally you should have a advertising budget of at least 10% of incoming revenue going back into your business advertising, but that doesn't mean you can't use these free advertising methods to grow your client list.

Can I type your company name into Google search and find you? Well I really hope so! If you haven't checked, go do it now! You must have a physical address (Brick and Mortar) for some of these next tips. There are at least 11 places your company must be listed to be easily found by people who have heard of your company and now are looking you up online. Word of mouth is King but if they heard about you and can't find out more that lead goes nowhere fast!

The Next step is to search in Google "your town" directory (ie: Plymouth directory) Some towns have directories exclusive to the town your business is in and because these websites advertise locally you really want your business listed with them. Each time you add your business to a directory you are harnessing the power of that sites advertising budget! Targeting a local directory is called niche marketing, once you have targeted your town as a niche it is time to expand to other niches.
I am assuming the majority of you receiving this email is somehow involved in Wellness, Alternative Medicine or Energy, Astrology or another realm of Metaphysics. I am going to give you some of the best directories for this niche market, but make sure to do a Google search to find more niche markets involved in your specific line of business.

There are tons of niche marketing directories, so when looking them up yourself make sure to take advantage of high traffic sites, you can research how popular a site is by putting their address into alexa.com
Another valuable way to receive free marketing is to connect with local newspapers. They are always looking for a story and are happy to help local causes! If you have opened a new center, added a new class, are planning a fundraiser to support a local person or cause or even want to share what your particular place of business does, they want to hear about it! To find the right email to contact just type in the name of the paper you want to be featured in, though it is a good idea to contact a few to make sure you run in at least one paper. Email your event or article idea with a phone number to be reached at, don't be surprised when they call or show up to interview you!
Many radio stations also give free advertising to sponsor non-profits and fundraisers, so let them know what your supporting!
