We do so much to create a business, managing, networking, marketing, emails, schedules, collaborating and so much more! We must take action for it to grow into the vision we hold, but we unknowingly can create blocks to this success. Take note of the picture above; you might be surprised where you stand on some of your actions! Are you fully engaged in being a successful person, or do you still hold on to a few traits of those less successful people?
Just a few weeks ago I came across this photo in social media, and I would love to credit the creator though it can sometimes be hard to find! I took a journey into this photo to fully explore my truth. It was surprising where I stood. I was someone who “fly’s by the seat of my paints “ on occasion, and though I attempt to journal daily and tell all of my clients to, I looked back and noticed the big gaps of sometimes days and weeks with no entries.
If I looked back just a few years I would see that back then I held even more of the unsuccessful people traits, but I am thrilled that along the way I dropped most of them off!
Over the last 10 years of my life, maybe even longer, I have known one thing to be true, I want to be a successful business women, and work for myself. I drove my parents crazy as a kid with my constant new ideas, every day I had a new invention or a business plan. I spent my late teen and early twenty's taking seminar after seminar and reading book after book. I also opened a company in 2002 “Organize It” building off my natural skills as a double Virgo to get people super organized in their homes and offices. All went well until the market crash over night; the business was a sitting duck. I lost momentum, and went back to working for others. Back then I still held so many traits of an unsuccessful person that picking myself up, asking for help, or realizing I didn't know it all was much too much for me to say out loud!
One thing never changed, I wanted to be a successful business women! After a year or more of working for others my drive to get out of the rat race was back, and I quit my job. I began finding alternatives to make a living that still allowed me time to grow and find a new vision.
The things I began to learn as I searched for myself were amazing. I noticed for the first time that ALL successful business owners who have a huge impact on the world do some things very differently from the average business owner! After years of trial and error, research, study, mediation, journaling, and journeys inward there are some keys I have kept dear to my heart, for I know that for anything I desire to come to fruition I must use the keys.
The Key’s to Success;
You must take time to clearly define your aspirations, get specific with how you want to FEEL and then start FEELING it into BEING!
You must ask for help when you are stuck, confused or unclear. Ask your Guides, your God, your Source and then call a successful friend for more clarity!
You must spend time with other successful people! If you want to be successful and all of your friends work at a big chain store your not in the right energy! Get some new friends and preferably one’s with big ideas of their own! This is a great reason to go to networking events and business development classes!
Spend time every single day learning something new. Self development is a never-ending process, and those who know it and love it are amazingly successful because they take care of their own mind, body and soul first! They know without this important connection you can take all the action in the world, and still fall flat on your face.
You must line up your energy with your desired outcome! If you step into your home office or place of business and think, I hope this goes ok, or even worse, I want to be somewhere else, just close your doors now and walk away, your energy is not going to get you where you want. You must first decide you are doing something you love and then remember that as you step into this role every day!
Never focus on the bottom line, yes income is important, but if it is your driving force you're in the wrong arena! Your business must be created out of passion, enthusiasm and an authentic yearning to aid those you serve in your business. When you focus is on what you love, all other things flow naturally to you, including the income!
Now take the Keys and Thrive!
